  15.      _i_l_2_s_t_i_f_f converts images in formats supported by _I_L(1) into Stream TIFF
  16.      (STIFF) format.  The _i_m_g_f_o_r_m_a_t_s(1) command can be used to determine which
  17.      formats are currently supported by _I_L(1).

  19.      _i_l_2_s_t_i_f_f reads from standard in if a file name is not specified on the
  20.      command line.  By default, _i_l_2_s_t_i_f_f assumes that its output should be
  21.      written to the standard output and messages should be written to standard
  22.      error.

  24.      ----OOOO _f_i_l_e_n_a_m_e
  25.                Specifies the name of the file to which the STIFF output will
  26.                be sent.  If the ----OOOO option is not specified, output will be
  27.                sent to the standard output.

  30.                Specifies the name of the file to which error, warning and
  31.                informational messages are to be written.  If the file
  32.                specified already exists, any messages generated by _i_l_2_s_t_i_f_f
  33.                will be appended to the end of the file.  If the ----LLLL option is
  34.                not specified, message output will be sent to standard error.
  35.                ----hhhh Prints a program usage message to the standard error.

  37.      ----DDDD        Specifies verbose output for debugging purposes.

  39.      If _i_l_2_s_t_i_f_f is given an unrecognized or incomplete command line option
  40.      switch, it will print a warning message to the standard error, ignore the
  41.      option and continue processing.
