- _i_l_2_s_t_i_f_f converts images in formats supported by _I_L(1) into Stream TIFF
- (STIFF) format. The _i_m_g_f_o_r_m_a_t_s(1) command can be used to determine which
- formats are currently supported by _I_L(1).
-
- _i_l_2_s_t_i_f_f reads from standard in if a file name is not specified on the
- command line. By default, _i_l_2_s_t_i_f_f assumes that its output should be
- written to the standard output and messages should be written to standard
- error.
-
- ----OOOO _f_i_l_e_n_a_m_e
- Specifies the name of the file to which the STIFF output will
- be sent. If the ----OOOO option is not specified, output will be
- sent to the standard output.
-
- ----LLLL _f_i_l_e_n_a_m_e
- Specifies the name of the file to which error, warning and
- informational messages are to be written. If the file
- specified already exists, any messages generated by _i_l_2_s_t_i_f_f
- will be appended to the end of the file. If the ----LLLL option is
- not specified, message output will be sent to standard error.
- ----hhhh Prints a program usage message to the standard error.
-
- ----DDDD Specifies verbose output for debugging purposes.
-
- If _i_l_2_s_t_i_f_f is given an unrecognized or incomplete command line option
- switch, it will print a warning message to the standard error, ignore the
- option and continue processing.
